Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations

Compensation and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,000/month. Full‑time, non‑exempt position. Benefits include medical, dental and vision plans; participation in CalPERS; sick and vacation time.

Job Summary Under the general direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Football and Director of Scouting, the Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations will assist in coordinating all aspects of recruiting potential student athletes, stay abreast of industry standards and best practices, and support the philosophy, goals and mission of the Fresno State Athletics Department while adhering to NCAA policies.

Key Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of office procedures, methods and practices

Knowledge of office machines and computer software, including Microsoft Office, electronic mail, electronic business forms and the internet

Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling

Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions

Excellent organizational and time‑management skills

Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills with the ability to compose professional correspondence (e.g., emails, social media posts) to attract student athletes

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year institution. Minimum two (2) years of football experience at the collegiate or NFL level. Must be immediately eligible to obtain a State of California driver’s license and must comply with all university driving requirements. A background check of the candidate’s driving record is required.
