Position Overview The HR Manager at PM Security is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all human resources operations to ensure the company maintains a professional, compliant, and productive workplace. This role covers the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance with Georgia and federal labor laws, policy creation and enforcement, performance management, and disciplinary processes.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.

Recruitment & Staffing

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing to offer and onboarding.

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely placement of qualified candidates.

Maintain accurate job descriptions and hiring documentation in compliance with Georgia Department of Labor standards.

Oversee background checks, reference verifications, and licensing verification for security officers (armed and unarmed).

Employee Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, complaints, and concerns.

Promote a positive, respectful, and compliant work culture aligned with PM Security's mission and values.

Mediate conflicts, conduct workplace investigations, and ensure fair and consistent resolution following company policies.

Lead employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies to improve workplace morale and productivity.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

Coordinate with Finance and operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.

Track hours worked, overtime, deductions, and leave balances in accordance with Georgia labor regulations.

Oversee benefits enrollment, eligibility, and communication with insurance providers.

Maintain confidential employee payroll and benefits records.

Policy Development & Enforcement

Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and handbooks that align with company goals and legal requirements.

Communicate policy updates and provide training to staff and supervisors on company procedures and workplace expectations.

Disciplinary & Performance Management

Oversee performance evaluation processes and maintain documentation for all corrective or disciplinary actions.

Collaborate with supervisors to address performance issues using progressive discipline, including written warnings, suspensions, and terminations where necessary.

Monitor employee attendance and adherence to company policies.

Maintain all documentation of disciplinary actions in personnel files.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with employment eligibility verification (Form I-9, E-Verify) and maintain accurate personnel files.

Manage workers’ compensation claims, unemployment responses, and safety compliance documentation.

Prepare HR reports for management (e.g., turnover, retention, attendance, new hires, and disciplinary actions).

Stay updated on changes to Georgia labor laws and federal regulations impacting company policies or procedures.

Training & Development

Coordinate orientation programs for new hires to ensure proper onboarding and company culture integration.

Identify training needs and recommend professional development initiatives for employees and supervisors.

Ensure all required certifications (e.g., armed/unarmed guard training, safety training) remain current.

Qualifications

3–5 years of HR management or generalist experience; experience in the security, law enforcement, or service industry preferred.

Strong knowledge of Georgia and federal employment laws.

Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Work Environment

Must be available for occasional after-hours communication for urgent employee or compliance matters.
