The Vice President, Global Partnerships will shape the organization’s global growth agenda—strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding revenue pipelines, elevating brand influence, and driving sustained impact.

Role Purpose The Vice President, Global Partnerships is responsible for architecting and leading a global partnerships and business development strategy that accelerates organizational growth, expands client portfolios, strengthens alliances, and deepens influence in the international development ecosystem.

This executive leader will work closely with the CEO, Board, and regional leadership teams to drive strategic expansion, secure major donor and client portfolio opportunities, and position the organization as a trusted leader in the global impact and development consulting space.

Key Responsibilities Global Partnerships Strategy & Growth Set and execute the global partnerships strategy aligned to organizational priorities and multi-year growth targets. Identify and cultivate new strategic partners across donors, philanthropies, multilaterals, corporations, and implementation networks. Lead design and negotiation of partnership models, strategic alliances, MOUs, consortium structures, and joint ventures. Monitor international market shifts and donor funding landscapes to shape competitive positioning and sector diversification.

Business Development & Revenue Leadership Drive revenue pipeline growth across priority regions and sectors, with clear annual targets. Oversee development of compelling proposals, investment cases, technical submissions, and consortium bids. Serve as executive sponsor for high-value opportunities, ensuring alignment and excellence from pursuit to award. Build systems, tools, and processes to embed BD discipline across the organization.

External Representation & Advocacy Represent the organization at global conferences, donor forums, policy events, and high-level dialogues. Showcase organizational expertise and insights through thought leadership, strategic communications, and media engagement. Strengthen global visibility and reputation, ensuring alignment with mission, values, and sector positioning.

Executive Leadership & Collaboration Work closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and Board to shape enterprise-level decisions and corporate strategy. Collaborate deeply with regional leadership to drive sustainable growth in Africa, Asia, and emerging markets. Build a diverse, high-performing global partnerships and BD team, including coaching and talent development. Ensure operational excellence, financial discipline, and compliance across all partnership engagements.

Innovation, Learning & Impact Drive innovation in partnership models, financing mechanisms, knowledge-sharing, and delivery approaches. Promote a culture of learning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Ensure partnership activities and strategies are deeply aligned to impact objectives and equitable development principles.

Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, Global Affairs, or related field.

Professional Experience 12+ years in international development, management consulting, global partnerships, donor relations, philanthropy, or similar executive roles. Proven success securing major funding opportunities (>$10M+) across donors, philanthropies, and multilaterals. Experience cultivating partnerships across multiple regions—Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East preferred. Strong grounding in the economics and systems of the global development ecosystem. Familiarity with donor institutions such as USAID, FCDO, EU, GIZ, World Bank, Gates Foundation, Global Fund, GAVI, UN agencies, or others.
