Position Description This position is with the Specialized Treatment Facility, a Mississippi Department of Mental Health Program located in Gulfport, MS. The incumbent will provide primary nursing care for adolescents residing in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities include assessing individuals for signs and symptoms of illness, administering medication, providing medical care, and offering clinical supervision for staff members. The STF Nursing Department work schedule is 12 hours per shift and 80 hours per two weeks, alternating 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
Salary Range
Nurse I
$38,720 annual base salary + $11,228.80 TDL @ 29% = $49,948.80 total
Nurse II
$47,238.40 annual base salary + $13,699.14 TDL @ 29% = $60,937.54 total
Nurse III
$55,741.31 annual base salary + $13,935.33 TDL @ 25% = $69,676.64 total
Shift Differential Paid at: 10% from 2:30pm-10:30pm, 15% from 10:30pm-6:30am.
Educational / Experience Requirements
Nurse I
0-1 year experience as an RN – psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Nurse II
1-2 years experience as an RN – psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Nurse III
2+ years experience as an RN – psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Required Documentation Valid unrestricted license to practice as an RN in the State of Mississippi and official college transcript.
