Qualifications
5+ years of documented industrial or commercial electrician experience
Valid driver's license
DOT certification (or ability to obtain)
Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
Proficient in NEC codes & guidelines
Reading/troubleshooting blueprints and/or schematics
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in all‑season weather conditions such digging trenches to laying conduit or ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Must have reliable transportation to company site
Daily, often times weekly, out of town travel requirements Monday‑Friday, seldom on weekends
Possess good communication skills
Punctuality and ability to work the scheduled time and for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, equipment, and circuitry in industrial and/or commercial environments.
Maintains and repairs buildings' electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches, fuses, light bulbs, ballasts, and/or fixtures.
Operates and works safely from bucket truck, scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and roof tops, to maintain, repair, or upgrade electrical wiring, bulbs, ballasts and fixtures.
Assists with layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Performs preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Installs conduit, pipes, or tubing and pulls insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Diagnoses or troubleshoots cause of electrical or system malfunctions.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such a transformer, ballasts, lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged/broken wires and/or cables.
Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and PLC control systems.
Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signals, communication, and power circuits;
Completes all calls efficiently, troubleshoots malfunctions, and educates customers.
