About the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Role The
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
is accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and interdisciplinary team. As a
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) , you will support resident comfort, monitor clinical status, and help lead the night nursing team to success.
Responsibilities – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with the plan of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and documentation.
Supervise and support the day-to-day work of Nursing Assistants on the night shift as a
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) .
Monitor resident conditions, promptly identify changes, and notify the physician and appropriate team members.
Ensure accurate, timely charting and documentation for all residents under the care of the
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) .
Promote a safe, calm, and therapeutic nighttime environment for residents and staff.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers to support quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Nursing degree from an accredited program or college/university.
Current, active, unencumbered LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license.
Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
The
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to long-term care.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment.
Ability for the
Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
to work tactfully and professionally with residents, families, interdisciplinary staff, visitors, and outside agencies.
Strong organization and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
