Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift, 13-Week Contract
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position is committed to patient and employee safety, promoting a patient-centered approach that focuses on rehabilitation and quality outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to inform individualized care plans. Identify patient education needs and collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team. Provide timely updates on patient status during team conferences and maintain accurate documentation in medical records. Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, ensuring direct patient care follows the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately. Participate in creating a positive work environment and engage in team-building activities. Address service needs such as supplies and repairs in communication with management. Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation. Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study. Prioritize patient care activities and manage time effectively. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift ACLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY) Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Required Schedule
