Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturday & Sunday, evenings and weekends as needed for the successful medical care of student‑athletes. This is a 10‑month, yearly contracted position.
Position Summary: Slippery Rock University invites applicants for a non‑teaching, temporary, 10‑month faculty position, with the rank of Instructor. This position will provide athletic training and medical services to SRU student‑athletes, plus all administrative tasks necessary to be an effective athletic trainer. Sporting assignments TBD.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree required
BOC certified by August 2026
PA state license or eligible
Experience working in a college athletic department (including but not limited to clinical rotations at a junior college, NAIA, NCAA Division I, II, III)
Commitment to the education of diverse populations
Successful performance in an on‑campus interview
Successful Background checks
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an NCAA collegiate athletic department
Experience with administrative tasks (e.g., budget, insurance, drug testing, etc.)
Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
