Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring an OH or compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with estimated patient ratios of 1:3-4
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required
Travelers may be required to float to different units within the health system as needed
Experience with Epic EMR is required
Must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting after contract signing
RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and included in the contract
Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
Floating to other units is required based on facility needs
Responsibilities include caring for PCU patients and supporting unit needs
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license in hand
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Completion of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
At least two professional references, including one from a supervisor or manager
Former employees must have at least 6 months separation to be eligible for consideration
Current employees of the health system are not eligible for this travel assignment
Previous travel nurse experience preferred
