Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced PICU RN with an active OK or compact license, night shift availability, and advanced life support certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting
Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
Patient population includes respiratory/viral illnesses, DKA, neuro, ENT surgery/complex airway, reconstructive urology, ingestion, and sepsis cases
Special procedures performed include deep sedation for lumbar puncture, PICC, and chest tube placements
Expected to float within scope to other units and facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
Uses Epic charting system
Deliver specialized nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
Perform and assist with deep sedation for complex procedures
Must be willing and able to float to sister facilities as needed
Maximum of 5 days of requested time off is allowed during the assignment; holiday time off requests are not permitted
Completion of required online modules during orientation is expected
Two supervisory references are required for consideration
Block scheduling requests will not be accommodated
Requirements
Active OK or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of PICU RN experience required
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (must be completed before start date)
Current and valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address dated within the last three months required
Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
No previous employment at Integris within the past 12 months
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
No license hits accepted
