Job Summary Upstate University Hospital is seeking experienced

Registered Nurses (RNs)

for the adult

Critical Care Unit (CCU) . This is a

13-week night shift contract

with a

3x12-hour schedule (19:00–07:00)

and

every‑other‑weekend

requirement. Candidates must have

acute critical care experience

in

Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facilities

and be familiar with

EPIC

charting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring

Start IVs, draw labs, and administer IV therapy

Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition

Document care accurately using EPIC

Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary ICU teams

Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

Qualifications

Active New York State RN licence (must be in hand; NY is not a compact state)

Minimum

1.5 years of recent CCU or ICU experience

Experience in large hospitals or trauma centres (Level 1 or 2 preferred)

Telemetry monitoring and IV therapy experience required

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Ability to work night shifts and every‑other-weekends

Schedule

Night shift

3x12‑hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every‑other‑weekend coverage

Compensation: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour
