Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/Surgical ICU night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Patient population includes neurological and surgical ICU cases
EPIC EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
No local candidates accepted from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
No blocked scheduling allowed
Competency testing for ICU is required with two attempts to pass
More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination; make up shifts must be completed within six weeks
Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
Travel pairs are not allowed
RTO must be requested at the time of application
Submission requires supporting documentation including clinical interview form, skills checklist, references, nursing license verification, and proof of certifications
Requirements
Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in the specialty required
Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Must provide a complete work history with no employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation from a licensed medical professional
Valid US Social Security Number is required
