Varied Shifts (United States of America) Compensation Pay Range:
$25.25 - $35.36 per hour
Schedule:
Varies weekly, including rotating weekends and holidays. Required – 2 weekend shifts per month. Operation hours: Monday – Friday 9 a‑7 p (10‑hour shift), Saturday – Sunday 9 a‑4 p (7‑hour shift).
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Maintain patient safety during transit in and out of the practice.
Greet, assess, and interview patients.
Obtain past medical, surgical, family, and social history; record vital signs.
Review current medications, allergy history, and chief complaint.
Prepare and assist with patient examinations, treatments, or procedures by the provider.
Anticipate patient and provider needs during encounters.
Monitor patients during examinations and procedures.
Maintain and update paramedic skill level required for duties.
Keep patient care areas clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures.
Respond to patient concerns in person or by telephone while documenting the problem.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Administer medications and IVs per physician’s orders.
Perform preliminary procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, and throat cultures.
Job Requirements
Required Certification:
EMT‑P, Current Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician‑Paramedic Licensure.
Preferred Certifications:
BLS – Basic Life Support.
Required Additional Knowledge & Abilities:
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Team player.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
License/Registration/Certification Requirements:
ACLS (AHA) – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
BLS (AHA) – Basic Life Support Certification.
Emergency Medical Services EMT Paramedic – Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Instructors for ACLS and BLS (per American Heart Association).
