RN Registered Nurse - Pedi ICU - Nights

Position Description The Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse in critical care works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Pediatric ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. The RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team and is responsible for professional accountability and development.
Responsibilities
Care for pediatric patient needs throughout their recovery in pediatric critical care.
Monitor, record, and update the care team on patient vitals and assessments.
Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
Respond to medical emergencies for critical pediatric patients.
Coordinate and document appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
Exercise high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience, simplifying medical terminology and concepts for the patient.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse license.
BLS certification.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
At least 1 year of RN experience in a Pediatric Critical Care setting (PICU).
