Caregiver
Day Program DSP (Direct Support Professional)
The Day Program DSP will assist the ISS Supervisor/Manager with individual care at the facility based on the policies, procedures, and quality of service required.
Responsibilities
Direct personal assistance with daily living activities of individuals (grooming, eating, and personal hygiene).
Reinforce counseling and therapy activities as directed by Supervisor.
Ensure the health and safety of all individuals by identifying and correcting safety hazards.
Assist with medications and perform tasks delegated by a Registered Nurse.
Document incidents involving individuals at the facility.
Provide daily reports to the Supervisor that outline accomplishments and objectives met.
Create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to the habilitation of the individuals served.
Maintain cleanliness of facility including cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, sitting rooms, and kitchen.
Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of the HCS and MRLA programs.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
