Overview Patient Services Associate (PSA) for Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Child Diagnostic Unit is a trained member of the unit-based care team who provides clerical and patient care support under supervision of Clinical Services Manager and RN.

Responsibilities

Assists patients with direct patient care, following RN direction.

Provides grooming, oral hygiene, comfort measures and assists with mobility.

Accurately documents vital signs, ADL, wave tests, and I&O.

Obtains patient reports and communicates with RN regarding care.

Notifies nurse of patient requests or complaints.

Carries out Plan of Care using multidisciplinary approach.

Communicates effectively with team members.

Assists with admission, transfer, discharge, and transports.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

1 year of work experience in the Health Care field.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Successful completion of UAMS PCT and PSC courses.

Completion of UAMS-sponsored conflict management training within six months.
