Overview
Join our established team of Respiratory Therapists (RTs) delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients with breathing issues. You will provide a range of treatments from nebulizer and ventilator management to oxygen therapies and external ventilation support, applying assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs in both routine and emergent situations.
Responsibilities
Administer therapy modalities – Hand‑held Nebulizer (HHN), HHN/MDI, Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV), Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), Pentamidine therapy; medication administration during modalities if required.
Provide medical gas therapy including oxygen and Helium‑Oxygen Therapy (HeO2).
Perform ventilation therapies – maintenance and management of life‑support systems (non‑invasive and invasive), transport ventilated patients to diagnostic procedures.
Conduct physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing: ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance, pulmonary function testing, bedside PFTs, metabolic monitoring, apnea monitoring, transcutaneous monitoring, capnography, pulse oximetry, sleep‑apnea assessment.
Execute specialized procedures: CPR, bronchial lavage, transport, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, artificial and tracheostomy airway care, body mechanics/ambulation; may be assigned to the Pulmonary Function Lab for diagnostic procedures.
Document all patient care accurately in the required departmental documentation system.
Requirements
Completion of a respiratory care degree program upon hire.
Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner license in TX upon hire.
Registered Respiratory Therapist license in TX upon hire.
Basic Life Support – CPR certification within 14 days.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months.

Pay Range
$29.44 – $43.79 per hour.
