Job Summary The primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered care: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating nursing plans; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating tasks to Nursing Care Technicians; adhering to university policies and federal, state, and local regulations; and collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes.

Required Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – no experience required.

Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license (RN) with Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment date.

Physical and Shift Requirements

Must lift, carry, push, pull 50–100 pounds daily and 25–50 pounds frequently; stand, walk, sit for long periods.

May be exposed to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments.

Work TWO 12‑hour night shifts 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, every Saturday and Sunday night; 24 hrs per week.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN or greater.

At least 1 year of RN experience.
