Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a community hospital requiring a current MA RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a general medical/surgical/telemetry unit within a community hospital setting
Patient population includes cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, withdrawal, GI, and infectious disease cases
Unit size is 43 beds with expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 5 to 6:1
Cases include chest pain rule out, various postop patients, pneumonia, CHF, withdrawal, cellulitis, COVID, flu, and more
12-hour night shifts
No on-call responsibility
Uses Cerner CIS charting system
Join a team-oriented, patient-centered staff
Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, managing diverse medical/surgical conditions, and post-op care
No on-call required for this role
Requirements
Active MA RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience preferred
Experience with Cerner CIS EMR preferred
