Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY license, oncology experience, and night shifts.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry setting Units specialize in post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, cardiac pharmacological interventions, and hematology/oncology care Patient population includes post-procedure cardiac patients and oncology patients receiving chemotherapy or with chemo side effects Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:7 36-bed hematology/oncology unit with developing bone marrow transplant program Night shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Weekend shifts required every other weekend EPIC EMR experience required Opportunities to cross-train in the MICU as the bone marrow transplant program develops Position is part of a fast-paced and high acuity unit with a cohesive and supportive staff First time travelers are accepted for this position Navy and white scrubs are required Staff may be asked to float within units to meet patient care needs
Requirements
Active NY RN license required At least 1 year of RN experience Chemo certification required Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required Oncology nursing experience required EPIC charting system experience required Must live more than 75 miles from the facility
