Position Summary The technician will assist with capture of adult and juvenile white‑tailed deer using various techniques, immobilization of captured animals, monitoring via radio telemetry, investigation of mortality events, data collection and management, and interaction with state agency personnel and private landowners.

Field duties – deer capture and monitoring (85%)

Office duties (15%)

Qualifications

Completed bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management, Ecology, Biology, or a closely related field.

Deer capture experience.

Working knowledge of radio‑telemetry and GPS technologies.

Detail‑oriented data collection, organized field equipment, level‑headed in stressful situations.

Ability to communicate with private landowners professionally.

Physical Demands

Driving 4‑wheel drive vehicles

Lifting up to 50 pounds

Office work

Other Requirements Requires driving, no position of trust, not required to control financial resources, no P‑Card.
