Controller
Our client, a growing healthcare services organization with a multi-location platform, is seeking a Controller to lead all accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Location This role is remote 4 days per week, and 1 day in-office at their headquarters near the Temple, TX area, to maintain team culture. The client is only considering candidates local to the TX area.
Job Description This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, mentor a team, and support strategic initiatives in a dynamic, private equity-backed environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, provider compensation, and fixed assets.
Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
Partner with the CFO and FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
Lead process improvements, system integrations, and automation projects.
Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering accuracy and accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA required.
7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller role.
Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems.
Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment; healthcare preferred.
