Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (in‑person)

Wage:

$40.10 – $48.00 hourly, Non‑Exempt

Position Overview The NARA NW Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services to prevent disease and promote health through critical thinking and independent judgment. The registered nurse supports and assists all medical and psychiatric providers and coordinates patient care. The Psychiatric Nurse Care Coordinator, a registered nurse with clinical experience in medical and psychiatric settings, provides guidance and support to staff and is accountable for patient coordination.

What You Will Do

Work closely with the Triage Nursing Team to monitor incoming calls and take lead on all calls related to psychiatry.

Promote clear communication among the care team and treating clinicians, including nursing staff, prescribing psychiatry professionals, and primary care providers.

Takes crisis calls and consults with psychiatry providers and mental health specialists as needed.

Perform chart reviews of clients scheduled for psychiatric providers and ensure follow‑through with their plan of care.

Coordinate labs, EKGs, appointments, psychiatric medication follow‑up, and the overall management of psychiatric patients, including administration of long‑acting injectables as ordered.

Contact patients to report changes in medications or plan of care.

Coordinate prescriptions as needed and assist with prior authorizations from insurance companies.

Provide education and/or self‑management goal setting as outlined in the plan of care.

Perform routine and timely documentation in the EHR of all core process work activities, including chart reviews, patient calls and correspondence, and patient education activities.

Coordinate continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities, including hospital admission and discharge processes, working closely with the psychiatric mental health intake specialist.
