Responsibilities
Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure that medications are given out according to the Physician’s orders.
Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all of Bickford’s policies and procedures regarding medication management.
Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
Provide direct resident care and supervise the work of non‑licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.
Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all other team members on shift.
Qualifications
Hold an active license as an LPN or Registered Nurse in good standing.
Be willing to take additional training or education that specific states may require.
Have CPR and First Aid certifications.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Possess written and verbal communication skills.
Be competent in organizational and time‑management skills.
Demonstrate good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Be able to use or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications; willing to learn new applications.
