Minimum rate of pay:
$30.13 per hour
Sign‑on bonus:
$8,000
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited college or university.
May consider a bachelor’s degree in science combined with relevant work experience in a comparable laboratory setting. Educational transcripts must be submitted at time of application.
Relevant work experience in a medical laboratory is required if an MLS/MT degree is not obtained.
Preferred certification or licensure: Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) – ASCP or NCLS.

What you will do:
Record and enter laboratory computer results of tests performed, and advise the supervisor of spurious, unusual, or highly abnormal results before release.
Report results of stat tests and highly abnormal or unexpected results timely, following established policies and procedures.
Compare test results with previous patient records when appropriate, alerting the supervisor or pathologist to unusual fluctuations.
Perform required quality control, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as assigned.
Notify appropriate personnel of unacceptable specimens, equipment malfunctions, and quality control aberrations in accordance with department policy.
Prepare standards, reagents, and other materials used in testing.
Contact nursing unit or client office personnel regarding results and clarify requests or routine problems.
