This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services within a dynamic K-12 educational environment in Burnsville, NC. Serving primarily one elementary school and early childhood settings, including local daycare centers, you will support children as young as 2.5 years old through to elementary-aged students. The caseload typically ranges from 40 to 50 students, allowing focused, individualized intervention to help each child reach their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver speech-language therapy services to students aged approximately 2.5 years and older across multiple settings.
Collaborate closely with a team of three other speech-language pathologists within the district.
Participate in early intervention initiatives at daycare locations as part of the service delivery model.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Communicate effectively with educators, families, and support staff to develop coordinated interventions.
Qualifications
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and CCC-SLP certification.
Experience working in school settings with diverse pediatric caseloads.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt therapy methods for early childhood and elementary-aged students.
Location This role serves six schools across the district, with primary assignment at an elementary school in Burnsville, NC, and outreach to local daycares.
Contract Duration The position is a contract role for the current school year.
