Responsibilities
Conduct Maternal‑Fetal Assessment and provide nursing support to laboring patients.
Utilize pharmacological and non‑pharmacological pain management during labor.
Stabilize and transition newborns at delivery and circulates for Cesarean Sections.
Care for post‑surgical patients and assist anesthesiologist with epidural insertion.
Assess and care for high‑risk maternity, postpartum and newborn patients.
Identify and intervene for mothers with postpartum complications and educate breast‑feeding mothers.
Identify full‑term infants at risk for complications and provide appropriate care.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN degree preferred.
Previous recent Labor and Delivery Experience preferred.
1–2 years Med/Surg experience acceptable; expect completion of Labor and Delivery education program after hire.
Licensure / Certification
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification; quarterly AHA RQI competency certification required post‑hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) completion within 6 months of hire.
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC or ANAAC certification preferred).
Compensation Pay range: $42.43 – $71.67 per hour.
Employment type Part‑time – 0.9 FTE (Day Shift 0500‑1700)
