Dental Assistant – Odessa, FL Work Schedule – No Weekends!

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 am–5:00 pm

One Friday a month: 8:00 am–3:00 pm

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work in an environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first, while enjoying state‑of‑the‑art technology and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients, sustain comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment.

Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history, and provide quality care.

Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).

Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state regulations.

Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.

Prepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA and CDC recommendations.

Manage supply and inventory levels, place and expedite orders as needed.

Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.

Required under the state dental practice act: dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

HIPAA training and protection of PHI.

Preferred Experience

At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting.

Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.

Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Prolonged periods sitting and standing.

Lift and carry up to 45 lb at times.

Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically.

Completion of TB test as required (not applicable in FL & TN).
