Part Time Dental Assistant
Company Dental Care of Stanhaven (Heartland Dental)
Overview Dental Care of Stanhaven, part of Heartland Dental, is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. We value teamwork, patient care and learning. This role supports dentists in chairside tasks, patient intake, x‑ray capture and office workflow.
Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients, maintain comfort and provide education throughout treatment.
Conduct thorough health history reviews to support quality care.
Take and process x‑rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography).
Assist dentists with four‑handed dentistry during a variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act.
Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
Prepare treatment room per safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
Manage supply and inventory levels, place and expedite orders as needed.
Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Schedule
Tuesday 12:30 p to 7:00 p
Wednesday 12:30 p to 7:00 p
Thursday 7:30 a to 2:00 p
Friday 7:30 a to 3:00 p
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
Certification and/or x‑ray certification as required by state dental practice act.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Completion of HIPAA training and protection of PHI.
Preferred Experience
2+ years in a dental setting.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
Dentistry assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
Lift and carry up to 45 lb at times.
Availability for virtual or in‑person training periodically.
Tuberculosis test required at pre‑employment (except FL & TN).
