About the Position
Department: University of Minnesota Medical School Radiology. Role: full‑time ABR board certified/eligible radiologist with a primary interest in Neuroradiology. Academic rank, compensation, and appointment are based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and scholarly productivity in one or more radiology specialty areas.
Minimum Requirements
MD or equivalent degree
Eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota
Board certified or board eligible in radiology
Completion of an ACGME‑accredited radiology residency
Preferred: completion of a neuroradiology fellowship
Preferred advanced imaging expertise (fMRI, ASL, DTI, MRP) and subspecialty areas including Pediatrics, Interventional, Spine Therapy, Head & Neck, Neuro‑Oncology
Responsibilities Significant time on a busy neuroradiology service serving inpatients and outpatients. Faculty will participate in all facets of neuroradiology plus postgraduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate’s specialty/research expertise. Faculty will be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty.
Benefits Workstations at home, remote within Minnesota. Evening and weekend call taken from home. 2025 fellows and J‑1 waiver candidates accepted. 2027 J‑1 waivers available—application deadline July 1 2026. Dual employment by M Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Salary market competitive: base $396,000‑$476,000. 401K employer contribution, well‑being program, CME/licensure/board/DEA fee allowance, malpractice insurance, Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility. Pay and Benefits Dual employment: clinical salary through M Physicians; academic effort through the University of Minnesota. Base salary $396,000‑$476,000 commensurate with experience. Clinical salary aligned with effort. Academic salary depends on academic effort.
