Senior Revenue Accountant

We are recruiting a Senior Revenue Accountant for a high-growth company in Raleigh. This role is a mix of technical accounting, process improvement, and systems optimization - ideal for someone who enjoys both compliance and the challenge of scaling infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Review complex customer contracts for revenue recognition implications under ASC 606.
Collaborate cross-functionally to assess how revenue flows through systems and identify opportunities for automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
Research, test, and help drive adoption of new features or platforms supporting revenue accounting.
Translate accounting requirements into clear, actionable system specs that support compliance and scalability.
Act as a bridge between Accounting, RevOps, and Engineering during the design, implementation, and testing phases of revenue tools.
Build and maintain audit-ready documentation, draft technical memos, and support external audit requests.
Own monthly revenue reporting workflows, including variance analysis and the integrity of system-driven outputs.
Lead or support special projects focused on improving the speed and accuracy of revenue close.
Mentor junior staff and serve as a resource for nuanced revenue recognition issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Strong understanding of ASC 606 and hands-on experience with revenue recognition in a SaaS or tech environment.
Demonstrated experience working with product or IT teams to implement or enhance accounting-related systems.
Advanced Excel skills; strong analytical and documentation abilities.
