We are seeking a dedicated, experienced RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team at River Ridge Nursing in Amsterdam, NY. Our facility has 120 beds. The ADON plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing by managing clinical operations, supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding the highest standards of resident care.
The ideal candidate is a licensed
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York
with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for long-term care.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing nursing services to ensure quality care for all residents.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional growth and maintain high standards of practice.
Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and care plans in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and manage staff assignments effectively.
Monitor resident care delivery and participate in the development of care plans and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
Current, active RN license in the State of New York (required).
Minimum of
3 years of nursing experience , with at least
2 years in long-term care or geriatric nursing .
Previous supervisory or management experience
In-depth knowledge of NYS Department of Health regulations, infection control practices, and nursing home compliance requirements.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
