About the Opportunity Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a growing organization to identify a skilled
Senior Accountant . This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning core accounting processes, supporting close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and producing accurate financial reports. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute to continuous process improvement as the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the
general ledger , ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Prepare and post
journal entries , including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
Support and execute
month‑end and year‑end close
activities, meeting established deadlines
Prepare, review, and analyze
financial reports
and account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
Oversee and perform
accounts payable and accounts receivable
functions, ensuring timely processing and accuracy
Manage daily customer invoicing and monitor collections, including follow‑up on outstanding balances
Process expense reports and outgoing payments in accordance with company policies
Prepare and file
monthly sales tax returns
and assist with annual business tax filings
Support internal controls, audits, and compliance reporting requirements
Identify opportunities for
process improvements
and increased efficiency within accounting operations
Serve as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience , preferably within manufacturing or regulated industries
Strong working knowledge of
general ledger accounting, journal entries, and close processes
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems required
Experience with sales tax and compliance reporting preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
