Job Title: Backend Developer – NodeJS, Python (Remote)
Remote – Poland / must overlap with US Eastern Time (min. 4 hours)
Employment Type Hourly Rate Range (B2B) 80 – 130 PLN/h
About the Role We are looking for a Backend Developer experienced in building resilient and scalable microservices with
Python (FastAPI)
and
Node.js . You will design and integrate RESTful APIs, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle of enterprise‑grade systems. This role requires solid backend expertise, hands‑on API development, and strong problem‑solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Python (FastAPI) and Node.js
Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support frontend and internal systems
Contribute to architecture improvements and performance optimization
Participate in the full SDLC: design, development, deployment, maintenance
Debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing systems for stability and scalability
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers in Agile teams
Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code following best practices
Required Skills
Proven experience in backend development with microservices architecture
Hands‑on expertise with
Python (FastAPI)
and strong background in
Node.js
Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes a plus)
Proficiency with Git and version control best practices
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to performance optimization of backend systems
Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud‑based environments
Client Industry:
Enterprise Software / API‑driven Systems
Team:
Cross‑functional Agile team (Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Product)
Contract Duration:
12 months
Travel:
None required
Timezone:
4+ hour overlap with US Eastern Time required
