About the Role We’re looking for a skilled
Java Developer
to join an engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise-grade backend systems for a US-based client. You’ll work on complex business logic, system integrations, and performance-critical services using modern Java and Spring-based technologies.
This is a long-term remote opportunity for someone who thrives in backend-heavy environments and values clean, scalable architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain
backend services
using
Java (11 or higher)
and
Spring Boot
Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
Participate in code reviews and design discussions with distributed teams
Build and consume RESTful APIs
Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps to ensure end-to-end quality
Troubleshoot issues and optimize backend performance
Required Skills
4+ years of hands-on experience in
Java development
Strong knowledge of
Spring Boot ,
Spring MVC , and
JPA/Hibernate
Proficiency in
REST API
design and integration
Experience with
SQL
and relational databases
Familiarity with
CI/CD , Git, and modern DevOps pipelines
Nice to Have
Exposure to
cloud platforms
(AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with
microservices architecture
Familiarity with
Docker
or containerized deployment
Prior work in enterprise domains like healthcare, fintech, or logistics
Team:
Agile, global team working in 2-week sprints
Timezone:
Must overlap minimum 4 hours with US Eastern Time
