JR4920We are seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineering Specialist to support transportation infrastructure projects in our Charlotte, NC office. These projects may include new construction as well as additions and renovations to existing facilities.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for structural engineering, a drive to develop innovative and economical design solutions, and a desire to grow professionally. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant designs that meet project goals and timelines.**Key Responsibilities*** Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable building codes and project requirements.* Prepare clear, concise, and well-organized engineering calculations and technical documentation.* Assist in the development of construction drawings and technical details.* Participate in project meetings and coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.* Review contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and shop drawings.* Conduct fieldwork, including site visits and structural observations.* Contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship-focused work environment.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (required).* Working knowledge of structural design and analysis tools (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Civil3D, SAP2000, LEAP, LARSA 4D)* Strong communication and time management skills* EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months* Internship or experience in bridge design**This position is not eligible for sponsorship.**Compensation Range:$61,760.55 - $82,347.40STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (8 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
