Job Overview:

Completes service, installation, and preventative maintenance of commercial HVAC&R and kitchen equipment.

Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:

Installs, performs service, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVAC&R), kitchen equipment, and other related equipment.

Communicates all necessary information pertaining to HVAC&R and related systems to Supervisor.

Monitors building temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary.

Responds to and assists in all building, equipment, or systems emergency situations involving the department.

Maintains tools, equipment, and work area.

Operates fire and life safety systems and related equipment.

Occasional tasks:

Perform limited electrical work.

Assist with boiler operation and maintenance.

Participate in testing of fire and life safety equipment.

Mark up as-built drawings pertaining to HVAC&R systems for alterations and submit for conversion to CAD.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:

A combination of education and experience to equal 3 years in HVAC&R or related discipline.

Basic Boiler Knowledge

Basic knowledge of computer operation for simple data entry or information retrieval.

Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.

Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift).

Ability to work in a wide range of climate temperatures, including excessive heat and/or subzero temperatures.

Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise.

Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations, including on feet 90% of time.

Capacity to handle and lift up to 70 lbs. as needed.
