Public Safety Telecommunicator - Per Diem (max 29 hours a week) The City of Rahway, Police Department is recruiting a Public Safety Telecommunicator. The primary duty is answering and dispatching personnel/equipment from calls received including 911 and other duties outlined in and not limited to the Civil Service Commission title Public Safety Telecommunicator (https://info.csc.state.nj.us/jobspec/01296@.htm ). Must be able to muti‑task and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided but experience is an asset. Candidate must possess a NJ Basic Telecommunicator Certification.
Pre‑employment drug screen and background checks are performed. The City of Rahway is a CSC and EEO employer and reserves the right to interview qualified candidates prior to the deadline. Preference is given to Rahway residents.
