Parking Enforcement Officer - Part -Time The City of Rahway, Parking Utility is recruiting a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer. Duties include patrolling and issuing summonses, marking tires, inspecting meter conditions, may testify in court, collection of parking fees and other job duties outlined in and not limited to the Civil Service Commission title Parking Enforcement Officer (info.csc.nj.gov/jobspec/07305.htm ). Applicants must also maintain and uphold all policies and procedures; represent the City in a professional and courteous manner; maintain a neat and clean appearance; and remain in uniform during scheduled shifts. Job qualifications are ability to read and write English, follow direction - both oral and written, have no convictions of any offense which would make candidate unfit to perform such duties, a valid NJ driver's license; ability to work a flexible schedule (including weekends, nights and holidays); and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Pre-employment drug screen and background check are performed. The City of Rahway is a CSC and EEO employer and reserves the right to interview qualified candidates prior to the deadline.
