Responsibilities

Coordinate the institution’s suicide prevention program, including training, suicide risk evaluations, internal reviews of suicide attempts and completed suicides, and institutional audits.

Track and review suicide risk evaluations with the Chief Psychologist / Chief of Mental Health Services.

Coordinate and monitor the Mental Health Program’s training activities.

Oversee the psychological assessment program.

Maintain order and supervise conduct of the incarcerated, ensuring safety of persons and property.

Travel required as needed.

Salary & Benefits

Monthly base salary: $5,684.50 – $7,316.50.

Recruitment & retention incentive: up to $10,000 one‑time stipend (if criteria met) and potential monthly differential totaling $20,000 during first year.

Referral bonus: $5,000 for current CDCR/CCHCS employees meeting eligibility.

Base salary subject to the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025), reducing base salary by 3% and providing 5 leave credits per month through June 2027.
