Job Description Responsible for managing the overall maintenance functions of the facility, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency, while coordinating between operations and engineering.
Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance department in safety, sanitation, quality, customer service, and preventative maintenance.
Develop long‑term goals and support continuous growth aligned with the company's strategic plans.
Create a positive working environment, promote continuous improvement, employee empowerment, and increase technical knowledge.
Maintain communication between maintenance and other plant/corporate departments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, building codes).
Implement new solutions to improve equipment efficiency, change‑over, and safety.
Maintain budgets, including annual capital, and verify accounts payable items.
Manage vendor and contractor relationships focusing on quality, reliability, and pricing.
Coordinate facility project work (cost, bidding, scheduling).
Maintain preventative maintenance and emergency repair capability for key equipment (forklifts, yard trucks, CMV trucks, ATLS trailers, dry box trailers, storage racks, pallet inverter, fuel stations, dock levelers, overhead doors, etc.).
Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and tire bank for transportation equipment.
Provide off‑hours emergency maintenance contact and conduct employee training on safety programs.
Maintain maintenance communication to facility manager and coordinate cost controls on forklift/vehicle fleet.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (required).
5 years of operations management (required).
5 years of equipment maintenance (required).
