Specialty Clinic Manager
Job Location: 501 N 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008
Posting Details Salary: $70,000 - $75,000, Grade: 24
Job Summary The specialty clinic manager manages and supervises the clinic staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day administrative and operational activities to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and delivers quality patient care. Develops and implements effective operational policies and procedures, monitors patient appointment scheduling, collaborates with healthcare providers, oversees occupational health, dental, podiatry, infection prevention, patient records, coordinates with external partners, oversees financial activities, conducts staff meetings and training, and stays updated with industry trends and regulations.
Job Duties
Oversee the management of occupational health, dental, podiatry, and infection prevention clinics.
Oversee day‑to‑day administrative and operational activities and clinic patient records.
Coordinate with external partners and vendors for supplies and services.
Oversee financial activities, including billing and budgeting.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Monitor and optimize patient scheduling and collaborate with providers for quality care.
Organize and supervise administrative staff, including medical biller/coder, scheduler and medical assistants.
Conduct staff meetings and training sessions to promote communication and skill development.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agency rules and hospital policies.
Perform other duties as assigned (typically 5%–10%).

Utilize adult learning principles in educating, mentoring and coaching of subordinate staff
Lead and supervise a team and provide staff educational needs
Communicate to a variety of staff at all levels
Effectively manage and grow staff
Present data to team members
Support a diverse multicultural workforce, reflect the community and promote equal opportunity
Selective Preferences:
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business management or related field with 3–5 years experience as an outpatient or clinical manager or in a similar leadership role. Certification in healthcare management, such as CMM or CMPE.
Pre‑Employment Requirements:
Must obtain and maintain CPR and NVCI certification.
A State Hospital employee must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card or apply within seven working days after starting employment.
All newly hired State employees must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E‑Verify).
