Summary Description

Provides complex clerical, administrative, and technical support related to Medicaid services.

Works under general direction, applying detailed knowledge of Medicaid laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Reviewing and processing technical documents.

Validating service logs to ensure maximum Medicaid revenue.

Preparing reports and training materials.

Advising on policy changes and program improvements.

Collaborating with district personnel, service providers, and vendors.

Review and process Medicaid-related documentation with accuracy and compliance.

Research and analyze data from various sources to support Medicaid claims.

Validate service logs and produce statistical and narrative reports.

Develop and facilitate Medicaid training guides and staff meetings.

Monitor program activities and recommend improvements.

Advise on legislative and policy changes affecting Medicaid operations.

May supervise clerical staff as needed.

Employment Standards Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that could provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain knowledge and skills would be:

Three (3) years of experience in a public or private agency performing duties related to Medicaid or similar administrative functions such as medical claims processing, provider billing, public health program (WIC or SNAP) coordination, or worker's compensation administration.

Licenses/Certificates: None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of Medicaid laws, regulations, and procedures.

Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and office systems.

Skilled in using software such as Infinite Campus, Excel, Word, and data management tools.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining confidentiality.

Comfortable with statistical reporting and mathematical computations.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, loud noises, confined spaces, heights, and hazardous materials.

Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lifting to 25 lbs, rarely lifting over 25 lbs.

Standing/Walking: Requires prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.

Bending/Stooping: Occasional bending and stooping to retrieve items.

Reaching: Occasionally reaching above shoulder level.

Pushing/Pulling: Occasionally moving objects by pushing or pulling.

Climbing: May rarely need to climb stairs or ladders to access equipment.

Fine motor skills: Requires dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
