Job Summary:
Eligible for up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus. Baptist Health is looking to add a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to our Diagnostic Cardiology Department at our Heart Center in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time, day shift opportunity of 4 10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday, 6:30 am‑5:00 pm.
We are seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and a commitment to patient care and safety. This Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2‑D or 3‑D images of the heart and will also help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.
Responsibilities
Providing diagnostic examinations of the heart using ultrasound techniques.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Reviewing and recording cases.
Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high‑quality images.
Provide as‑needed backup to other non‑invasive areas of the Cardiac Department.
Assist the working physicians in diagnosing heart problems in patients.
Qualifications
Education Required: Vocational School.
Preferred: Associate's Degree.
Experience: 1–2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience.
Adult Echo Credentials through either ARDMS or CCI within 18 months of hire (Required). Adult Echocardiography (AE) (ARDMS‑RDCS) Preferred or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI‑RCS) Preferred.
