We are seeking a Respiratory Care professional for an immediate travel opening in Great Barrington, MA. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience and must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time. The role requires the ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds at times and excellent vision abilities.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.
Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. NBRC, BLS, NRP, 5 years of experience are required certifications.
