Key Responsibilities
Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of various measurement equipment and gauges.
Conduct precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components and assemblies using a variety of metrology tools.
Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), optical comparators, and other advanced inspection systems.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
Maintain accurate calibration records, documentation, and traceability for all measurement instruments.
Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and assist in root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
Develop and implement new measurement methods and procedures to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with data collection, analysis, and basic statistical process control (SPC) principles.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and identify root causes.
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing quality role.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model review or fixture design
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for metrology equipment
