Key Responsibilities
Perform calibration and verification of precision measurement tools and equipment.
Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various measurement techniques.
Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality standards for inspection planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment and inspection processes.
Maintain accurate records of calibration, inspection results, and equipment maintenance.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology lab environment.
Ability to analyze measurement data, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot measurement issues.
Familiarity with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) and statistical process control (SPC) software.
Technical degree or certification in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related engineering discipline.
Bonus Qualifications
CMM programming proficiency (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and data analysis
ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
Familiarity with CAD software for model‑based inspection
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
