The Bonquois Postdoctoral Fellow in Women’s History is a full-time, twelve‑month position (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) at the Newcomb Institute. The fellow will be a historian whose research is intersectional and engages with the history of women and/or gender in the United States. A research focus on 20th‑century women’s history in the Gulf South is preferred, though not required.
The fellow will conduct academic research and present their work at a public lecture, have regular mentoring meetings with the Newcomb Institute Director of Research, and join the interdisciplinary intellectual community at the Newcomb Institute and Tulane University. They will work closely with one to two undergraduate research assistants and engage with the Newcomb Archives to produce an exhibit or other public‑facing product related to their work.
