About This Role
Overnight Veterinary Nurse I, II or III to join the dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.
Assist with patient care for critical patients, operating medical equipment, and performing or assisting in technical procedures.
Monitor medical records, organize technical work, maintain equipment and supply status, and coordinate animal treatments.
Utilize communication and collaboration skills daily.
Work Schedule Wednesday–Friday, 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. and one Saturday overnight per month.
Minimum Qualifications
Veterinary Nurse I: Completion of a two‑year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Veterinary Nurse II: Completion of a two‑year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the AVMA and two years of relevant experience.
Veterinary Nurse III: Completion of a two‑year college program in veterinary or animal technology accredited by the AVMA, five years of relevant experience as a veterinary technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) and passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of basic veterinary medical concepts, animal behavior, and animal husbandry.
Strong interpersonal, written, and computer skills.
Willingness to master new techniques and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
Adherence to safety procedures, ability to multi‑task in a high‑intensity environment, and general diagnostic procedure proficiency.
Time‑management and prioritization skills; preventative maintenance of veterinary equipment.
Advanced nursing care knowledge and service policies (specific to II and III).
Other Requirements
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
