Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:00pm
Patient population includes Med/Surg and telemetry cases with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation
Requires floating to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
Uses Epic EMR for charting
Responsibilities include caring for Med/Surg telemetry patients and performing specialized procedures related to telemetry and MS/Tele populations
Team members are expected to adapt to high-acuity cases and float to units or sister facilities as necessary
Orientation includes required modules, completed during onboarding, with both billable and non-billable components
A maximum of 5 days RTO may be approved per 13-week assignment, with no RTO allowed on holidays or blackout dates
Candidates must submit two supervisory references for consideration
Block scheduling requests are not permitted
Scrub requirements not specified
Requirements
Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, and completion of an EKG course or telemetry test required prior to start
Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation required
Must provide a current valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address dated within the last 3 months showing an address more than 75 miles from the facility
Epic EMR experience required
Candidates cannot have any license restrictions or discipline
Applicants must not have been employed by the facility within the past year
No first-time travelers accepted
